Gunthers is are reliable and know what they are doing. Last summer in the heat of a day my cooling system was not working. I called and they said they could have someone here between 3-5. As the five o'clock hour approached I called the office to see if we need to reschedule. They said the prior appointment had taken much longer than expected and that the tech would still come if we wanted him. With temps soaring last summer and our house miserably hot...we were game if he was. Much later about 9:30 ish our tech shows up and is here until about 11:30. I felt so bad and told him when he arrived we could reschedule another time but he was committed to getting our cooling up and running. He was so nice in spite of the fact it was late and he had had a very long day. We have a service contract with Gunthers and it is nice to know that each summer and fall our systems are checked and prepared for the new season. We also get our furnace filters from them and so we have no excuses for not changing them as often as needed. This fall at our service our tech was able to identify and replace a part that prevented our furnace from turning on. We had noticed it a time or two last winter but was able to get it to restart by turning everything off and restarting it. We had mentioned it at our early summer checkup but of course by then we were not using the furnace and it was behaving properly. However when he came this fall the furnace did not respond and further diagnostic testing lead him to identify the problem. I was so grateful that this happened while the weather was still moderate and not in the dead cold of winter. I am a firm believer in the maintence program. It gives me peace of mind to know that I am doing what is best to preserve my initial investment in my systems.
