Just find another plumber, predatory "house call" fees. I had the pipe between my bathtub waste tee and the trap rust through on me and it needed to be replaced. This pipe was about 10 inches in length, was in an easy to get to spot with plenty of space to work. Rupcoe came, looked at it for about 5 minutes and charged me $60 to tell me I needed to replace everything from the bathtub down, and wanted to charge me $1300 + Tax to do it. I knew this didn't sound right, so I declined the work.

I went to GPS in Edison and explained what my situation was, showing him the trap I took off and he explained exactly what I needed and exactly how to do it. I fixed the problem with a $10 part, a single peice of tube. Rupcoe wanted to charge me about $1400 to do work that a simple $10 part was able to replace. I was considering rupcoe to replace our central air system when we had the cash to do it(already have the estimate), but this experience is inexcusable. I'll be using someone else from now on.
