I called Potter's Plumbing for some work, and I got a call back from the plumber who was going to come over. he gave me their rate over the phone, and then came out to my location and checked out the problem thoroughly. He explained everything well and he did a great job. However, when I was on the phone and even while I was paying, I asked if they'd be able to hold onto the check until I got paid the following week. Both times he said they were able to do that. This was on the weekend. On either Monday or Tuesday, I saw that the check was processed, and my account was over-drafted. I called the office, and I have to say, I was upset. I told her about the situation and the first thing she told me was that she wasn't told about holding on to the check. I will say, she did offer to make things right by refunding the price of what they had done along with the overdraft fee, and that we'd be able to clear the charge once I got paid. But, the situation was already done and I didn't feel like driving around town to get this situation taken care of, so I told them to leave it at that. The plumber provided some wonderful service, but the check issue left a bad taste in my mouth. I will most likely not be using them again.
