Sheetrock repair

***Buyer beware*** We used Tioga to redo the Sheetrock after we had our house rewired. After three days of not showing up and multiple excuses we let them start on our how. This should have been the first red flag. SY and myself walked through the house with what the expectation was. We noticed after the first day that there was a communication break down somewhere. Tho was mistake two because they sub contract out the work and don’t have an in-house team like they lead me to believe. Again after talking with SY he reassured me that everything would be okay. So they continued on for the next few days and getting close to being finished and when we talked to SY about the quality of work he seemed uninterested and said he did everything he said he was. This is when I got Jerry the owner involved. He came to my house on a Monday evening and even he wasn’t happy with the way it looked. At this time I was told by SY that certain work had been completed. So when the owner Jerry and SY left, I went to verify that the work had been completed that SY talked about. Guess what, the work wasn’t completed. At this point I waited til the next morning and let Jerry know that I wouldn’t be lied to and wanted to know what he was going to do. He said again that it was a miscommunication between SY and the third party they contract with. So Jerry said he would get SY out to fix all the issues we saw with the house. Unfortunately SY made the issues worse and the work done looks like garbage. Jerry has seen the pictures and knows I am not happy with the work. Even after the work has been completed, I have yet to hear from him to make sure we were satisfied with the work. This says a lot about the owner. I have spent close to $23,000 with this company and all they did was see the money and didn’t care about the quality of work. The owner doesn’t stand behind quality work and is just happy he got paid. Again beware when spending money with this company.

Good morning Jeff! I’d like to begin this conversation by saying how terribly sorry we are that you’re unhappy. We do not only see money, and it breaks my heart that you’d feel that way as that is the exact opposite of our true feelings. We are blessed by each customer, and friend and really attempt to give 5 star service EVERY time. Now to address your concerns.. I must admit we dropped the ball in the beginning, big time. Communication is key and we failed you there. We acknowledged the delays together and from that point Si made sure to check in on you multiple times a day, I was able to verify this as all calls are recorded here. When the estimate was provided it was made known that the job completion would take two weeks, and some delays were due to other trades being onsite. It provides a safe working environment when you only have one trade working at a time, so with that, it pushed the original start date back one week. We apologize for that lack of communication during that week. It is our responsibility to provide you with those updates and we did not. I assure you we will take action with that and continue to provide each customer with up to date information moving forward. Once we did begin Si reiterated the two week timeline and you expressed at that time that you wanted it honored as you have family due to arrive. At that point we should have informed you that just wasn’t possible, we instead did complete a rush job and shouldn’t have. The work spoke for itself, and Jerry acknowledged that both to you, to Si, and to our painters. Unfortunately sometimes we are trying so hard to honor someone’s wishes we get ahead of ourselves. Si, his crew and painters came back as you acknowledge and repaired the work. When they completed the job Si did a walkthrough with you and you expressed your happiness with him and his painter, even requesting the painters personal contact information to have him back in the future. That left all of us to believe that you were in fact satisfied with your services. I am so sorry that you weren’t, please know that if you sent us or Jerry photos, no one has received them. I’ll apologize in advance for that as well. Si left with the impression you were happy with your completed services, and after he spoke with painters they agreed, we didn’t think to call. We have all however agreed since the start that we want you happy with your service. We will continue to work with you on this until we reach a resolution that everyone can be happy with. Again, myself and all of the Tioga team are incredibly apologetic and take great pride in serving our community, and we’ll continue to work hard to earn your happiness.
