The After Effect Was Horrible

I would never recommend Sears Heating & Cooling. I actually have a monthly service agreement and my furnace was acting up. So I gave them a call. The technician came out and did the assessment of the unit. He said I needed a heat exchanger or a new furnace. So he took my credit card. Then he said they would give me an estimate to replace my furnace. Sears Heating & Cooling was a lower price so I asked for the new furnace. It was $79 for the service call and they said they would give the estimate then waive the fee per Josh but they never did waive the fee. It was like a bait and switch and they got greedy. I would not use Sears Heating & Cooling again.

Hi Steve- We apologize if you feel this way. This is the reason we collect a credit card before even going out. Why would we take your credit card if this service call was free? You called in and spoke to Bryan and advised that you didn't want to replace the unit and you wanted a second opinion from us. You even wanted Bryan to check to see if we could get the heat exchanger to replace it, which we did find in stock. We ended up clearing Josh's (the tech who came out) schedule to complete the repair if you chose to do so. We came out and your furnace was already torn apart. Josh advised that yes, it's generally cheaper to replace than do this repair. You then also left before our tech could even collect payment. If you ended up deciding to use us for repairs or replacement when Josh was out that day, we would have certainly credited the $79 towards your option. But you chose to call a 3rd company out instead. Again, I'm sorry you think we treated you unfairly. Best of luck in your future HVAC needs.
