Dean is a our longterm Albright HVAC connection. This is Dean's second major system upgrade at our home. We went with Rheem this time, because of Lennox failed to provide labor warranty support on a Albright diagnosed Lennox system with a failed/stuck TXV valve. Lennox ignored my appeal. The Lennox TXV defect/failure is a known, and acknowledged by Lennox engineering and most reputable HVAC field technicians as real problem. So why was Lennox not willing to cover, or even share the $776.00 labor and refrigerant TXV replacement costs under the Lennox Extended Warranty? I firmly believe that Lennox had an obligation to cover the entire TXV replacement cost. Recommendation - Buy a RHEEM with their 10 year parts warranty and work out the Labor warranty with Dean.
