I called Folkes, whom I have previously used multiple times to repair my heating system and a very nice technician came out and gave a quote for a couple thousand dollars. At that point I decided to get a second opinion. I called someone else to assess what the issue could be and found that it was a simple turn on of a pipe; I guess because I wasn’t using the system for summer and this was the first use for this winter. So, I called Folkes back and asked for a refund of the diagnostic fee they charged me since I received a completely wrong diagnosis from the technician. I spoke with the owner DJ and he said that they may not have gotten the issue however, the quote was for things that will go wrong in the future. We all know that things have the potential to be damaged in the future but, we wouldn’t pay someone to tell us that right? TWebber Plumbing and many other plumbing & heating companies would charge a diagnostic fee but deduct it from the total price if you use them. Folkes would not do this. If you have a heating or plumbing issue, pay the higher diagnostic fee somewhere else and I assure you that you will still be paying less than you would for Folkes. TWebber.com would be a better choice, or anyone else. DONOT LET FOLKES LAUGH HOW THEY TOOK ADVANTAGE OF YOU!!! Be Smart.
