My A/C unit quit and after checking out my circuit breaker and thermometer batteries, I knew that I would need a repair. i was hesitant for financial reasons: about six years a I called a "well-known" service who arrived with one technician and two salesmen who proceeded to to try to sell me an entirely new HVAC system, As a single retired lady living in a manufactured home, they tried to play on my situation, I think, and wanted me to purchase a $12,000-$15,000 overhaul. That was out of the question and they eventually replaced a capacitator for a few hundred dollars, telling me that I'd probably have to call them in the near future.
So, I now went on-line to check out reviews and went with Mountain Air/Home. It was late Friday afternoon and I was able to be placed on the next day schedule. I spoke with Vanessa and told her about my previous experience and said that all I wanted was "honest and fair", and she told me that those were Mountain Home values and priorities.
The next day when the technician Ray arrived I found him to be very helpful, friendly, polite, and knowledgable. He was able to diagnose and repair my problem and I could feel the cool air in no time! HERE'S THE BEST PART!!! My unit needed a new fuse and a wiring check and the total sevice charge including visit, parts and labor was well under $200.00!!! I was very happily surprised telling him that he could have told me that the damage as far more extensive. "FAIR AND HONEST" as promised! Thank-you, Mountain Home Services. Laurie
