I was suprised that the plumber that showed up told me he didn't actually have the drain cleaning snake on his truck, even though he knew he was coming to clean three drains. I would think you would check your truck out BEFORE you arrive at the appointment to ensure you had the proper equipment. Second, the first guy to bring the proper snake brought the wrong one and had to go a second time to the shop to bring the proper one. The repair man arrived at 8:00 AM but didn't start the drain cleaning until 10:00 AM. Third, he misdiagnoised the probelm and spent time in the crawl space cutting pipes only to find the problem wasn't there. Finally, in the late afternoon the plumber was able to clear the drain from the original second floor bathroom where he started. To his credit, he didn't give up, and eventually cleared the obstruction. Lastly, I was a bit put off by the plumber who told me on a number of occassions that he had "twenty-five" years in the business and was an expert. Well, I came to find out he graduated high school in 1995, that's 21 years ago...you do the math.
He was very polite, and I do believe he wanted to do a good job, and eventually he did.
