I recently went to Best Services to have some work done on the air conditioning unit in my home, and was not at all pleased with how my experience went. I had called them because I wanted a damper put on my A/C grill, they said they would be able to do that, but when the worker got here he said they couldn't just do it for one grill and would have to install dampers on all of them. They didn't charge me for the service, but I asked them to continue to consultation which cost $49, and when I asked for a quote for a certain job his boss quoted $900. I thought that was a ridiculous price, and when I asked the boss came back with $500 instead, I called the guy who installed the unit to begin with, and was told the job could be done by him for $250. I asked Best Service if they would be able to get near or match the price if they wanted the job, and was given a price still over $450 for the work. The only positive side of the work from Best Service was the worker who came out to my house, he was very kind and seemed bothered by the way things were going, as he could see it was an easy job. Overall, though the worker from Best Service was very friendly, I thought they had terrible business practices, and I have crossed their name out of my number book so I know not to go back to them.
