MorningStar Assisted Living & Memory Care at Arrowhead has been good to work with. We moved our mother into this facility right before COVID restrictions so it has been hard to communicate with our mom due to the strict restrictions for living care facilities. One of the main reasons that we chose this facility was the Christian atmosphere and it was a new facility.

There is always a few little things that could be improved. Meal preparations could be significantly improved. Sometimes they don't get it right. My mother requires her meat to be cut up because she is blind, she also doesn't hear very well. The menu could be improved as well as the staffing during meal times. Before COVID my sister and I would eat with her in the dining room and there seemed to be limited or missing staff to see to the numbers dining.

COVID has made it difficult to check on her to see if she has been cared for as expected. Staff seem to change quite a bit with a large turnover rate. Compared with the last facility that we moved her from, this facility has been pretty good so far. Upon contacting them they do give you pamphlets and other information that is straightforward and explanatory and they do communicate well by phone.

The community coordinator, Erin is very nice and does help us navigate through some of the issues that we have and is very good about answering questions and addressing our concerns.

For the most part we believe Mom is getting the best care under the circumstance. There is always room for improvement, and with COVID it is very hard to judge that.
