She's Really Happy Now

My sister-in-law has Parkinson's and spent some time in the hospital a while back receiving physical therapy. When her stay there was up and we needed to move her, they recommended that we send her to a group home. As soon as she moved in there, we got a call the next day saying "Get me outta here!". I just looked on the internet to see other options there were, and I saw MorningStar. It was very close by and we had seen it getting built, so I suggested we should take a look.

They were so nice to us. Julia helped us. We told her our situation and what was going on. We went and looked at a room. We decided to go kidnap my sister-in-law from the group home so she could take a look at MorningStar. Once she was there Julia asked if we wanted them to evaluate her now and she said yes. They brought in a nurse who did the evaluation, which we really appreciated. We looked at the financial stuff and everything trying to make a decision. She said she wanted to move and we moved her as fast as we could. They got her into a room and they were so nice to us. They recommended a moving company and it just so happened that it was around her birthday and her sister from Alabama came in to visit, so she was able to help with the move as well. The move went well.

She's there now and she's doing quite well. There have been a couple of complaints here and there with the caregivers, but we were able to talk to the management about it and they were just johnny-on-the-spot when it came to addressing the issue. They're very willing to take care of any problems that come up and that makes a big difference. The problems have come up with a couple of caretakers who I don't think had the patience to work with her, but honestly, we have had her in our home for a time and it does take more patience than most have to work with her since she moves very slowly. There's always going to be problems, that doesn't bother me. It's how you take care of it that's important, and so far they've done great with that. I would recommend them to anyone. She's really happy now and she insists on walking (with help) to the dining room and back with her walker, which she couldn't do before. So she's improving. Julia really hit the ground running. She saw our problem and wanted to help us.
