We had a difficult backup in our sewer system and it required a process that I think was called "water jetting" to clean it out. They did it quickly at a price reasonable. The problem was that a large tree root had grown into my system and it was way out in the street where the pipe connects to the sewer. It was too far in to use a blade and would have been far too expensive to dig 15 feet down under the road, so they were able to use water pressure to do what a blade couldn't do. It worked out well. I'm very pleased with the results. They said the root is going to grow back in within about 90 days. It's been longer than that already and we haven't had any problems yet, but I'm going to have to call them back eventually. It's a unique problem we have and they were able to help us with it. Not every plumber has that type of equipment, but they did and they were able to come out the very next morning, which was a big help for us since we needed to get our water running again. They have excellent expertise and are pleasant to work with. They were in and out within about an hour.
