Cardinal Flooring and Cabinets

Bad Customer Service, Poor Communication - No Follow Up

Cardinal Flooring and Cabinets replaced the carpeting in the mobile home I bought and I am exhausted just trying to keep up with everything that went wrong. For starters, I got 3 different quotes and the final price I paid wasn't any of them. When I did get the estimate, nothing was broken down or itemized on the invoice, so I have no idea what went to flooring, materials, or even labor. It was just one number. Next, we scheduled the project for the week between Christmas and New Years. I was told the job would take 3 days to complete so that worked out for me. As the start day approached, I called to confirm the job and ask if everything was still ok and I heard....."Well...". I knew from his reply that something was wrong so I asked about the week after that. We agreed and they had 1 guy show up around 9 am that first day. This was a lot of work for one person so again, red flag, this will be longer than 3 days. The job went from 3 days to 2 weeks. Dustin, their worker, was friendly enough and he answered all the questions I had. He was very nice and did good work, for the most part. There are parts of the floor where it looks great and parts that are popping up and wont stick. There are significant gaps and places the floor doesn't line up with the baseboard and you can see the wall in between them. I called Cardinal, and called them again. I waited four and a half weeks for them to even respond, and then I was on my way out of town. At this point, I'm already burnt just trying to get a response. They finally came out and took a look. I heard explanations that it settled wrong and that maybe the weather played a part. At this point, I just want it fixed. From day one I have had concern after concern and I just want the floor done. I spent over $7000 and that's more than I spent on the trailer itself. There was a price gouge on the back splash and I was charged over $900 just for that. There is no way I could recommend this company to anyone.
