Mister Sparky Electric

Overpriced

I was charged $418 for a call out and test of circuit box. $113 for callout (that's OK) and $305 for test of circuit panel (REALLY??) Then I was told that I needed all new electric panel and new wiring to outside box and pole.. Next day I had another company actually fix my one bad breaker for $85. They also told me I did NOT need new electric rework but if I did they quoted me $2000 less than Mister Sparkey. I will never use this company again.

Thank you for sharing your review with us Ann. We apologize that you were not satisfied with our service.

Our scheduling depart received a call on 2/28/17, just after 7pm. We dispatched our electrician to the property who arrived after 8pm to examine flickering lights and sparks in the home. Our electrician introduced himself and got to work trying to identify the problem. In electrical systems, there are many components that can cause a problem. Is it the breaker, the wires, a junction, a fixture, etc? The circuit diagnosis is part of the troubleshooting to determine what component has failed. Before we assume that any particular link in the chain is the problem, our electricians confirm the root of the problem with circuit troubleshooting. We do this in effort to not just put a band aide on any one problem or symptom but to determine the issue behind it all. These charges are authorized upfront before any work is done. In this situation, we determined the breaker was bad. When our electrician examined the panel at the home, he also found rust and corrosion. Rust and corrosion inside the panel indicates water leakage and is a high concern. We highly recommended replacing the entire panel due to the observed conditions.

We do apologize again that you were not pleased with our service and would be willing to continue the discussion if you have questions.
