Summit refinished our old neglected floors making them absolutely gorgeous again. We purchased our home four years ago and although it has magnificent bones, it needed a refresh and the red oak floors were no exception.

I had been pleading with my husband to tear them out and replace them with vinyl…they looked horrible to me. The oak was yellow and just had no real potential in my eyes. I stopped in to look for stain for our bedroom floor and got to talking with Elton. He was incredible and such a wealth of knowledge. Fast forward a couple of years. After many discussions and refusals to rip our hardwood out, my husband and I met with Elton again.

Summit is amazing. Steve came out to get dimensions and provided us with a very reasonable quote. We were very flexible and due to another job being delayed, Summit came in within a couple of weeks. It took 5 days to refinish almost the entire main floor…about 900 square feet. Our floors were repaired where there was damage…who drills a hole in a hardwood floor anyway? We removed some built in pillars and they feathered new red oak in where it was missing. You would be hard pressed to even know the floors were not brand spanking new. The finish is gorgeous, the Colour (driftwood) is modern and shows the wood grains unbelievably. Our old floors have never looked so beautiful and we are absolutely in love with them.

The Summit team is excellent with communication. The staff is very professional, friendly, respectful and punctual. There was zero dust at the end of each day and the floors were spotless at the end of the project. We would absolutely recommend Summit to anyone looking at refinishing their old floors, or putting new ones in. Thank you for helping us make our house, our home!
