We had our whole house painted by The Painting Company of Birmingham, including all the ceilings and woodwork. They did a good job and were real polite guys, but I expected more for seven thousand dollars. To begin with, they were late to start the job. It was scheduled to start on Monday and we cleared all our furniture out of the house into the garage. The job didn't start until Thursday! The office said another job went longer than expected, but it was very inconvenient for us. Also, they were quite messy. They covered everything up with paper and tried to keep the place clean, but they still tracked dirt in and the paper wasn't enough to keep paint from spilling on our hardwood floors. We had to follow-up with lots of mopping after they left. They also left a big mess outside that had to be cleaned. The superintendent of the job followed behind the painters closely, pointing out places that were missed or done wrong and they fixed most of them. But they still missed a few spots. This shouldn't have happened with professionals, especially with the price I paid. But I am satisfied with the end result. Satisfied enough to rate them three out of five stars. I would even recommend them to other people as long as they know what to expect based on my experience with The Painting Company of Birmingham. At least now that the whole house is painted, we'll never have to paint again.
