Estimate way to high for the service needed

I took it upon myself to purchase the needed components to complete my service entrance and pull my own permit. I spent less than $300.00 and passed the inspection. I felt the $2,085.00 estimate was extremely high and no free estimate..$69.00 service charge was a waste of my time and money.

Mr. Hine, we are sorry we were unable to serve you. I understand your frustration. Just like going out to dinner at a nice resturant and ordering a steak dinner and being frustrated at the cost. Especially when I could have just stayed home opened my freezer took out a steak threw it on the grill and baked my own potato and my meal would have cost me virtually nothing and I would have been very happy with the meal. You shareing your frustration in your review truly reinforces the reason why we give our clients a quote on any work we do before we complete any work and request our clients to authorize any investment they are making to insure the electrical safety of their home. We hear time and time again from clients who have had work done in their home by other contractors thinking it should cost no more than a few hundred dollars and are later surprised by a contractor that hands them a bill for thousands of dollars. Again we are sorry we didn't fullfill your needs at this time. We are happy we gave you a quote verse completing this project without a quote and being much more upset at the price.
