Both teenage daughters play HS golf competitively in Texas so after buying them clubs off the rack twice, my wife convinced me to spend the $$ to get fitted by Club Champion. The fitter at the time, Ernie, completely got the fittings incorrect, starting with the lay and the loft of the putter, to the shafts on the wedges to the shafts and weighting on the drivers. The inaccurate fittings were verified by a top 100 fitter in the US and applied to both sets of brand new sets of clubs. My investment in the future of my childrens' golf was over $5000.

CC will say that it was our fault that we did not being the girls back in with the clubs to have the clubs recalibrated. They will say their policy is to fix any issues with poorly fit clubs however it does not seem reasonable that I was supposed to determine if the clubs they fitted were correct or not. If that was the case, I would have just fit them myself and saved the $$. We had no idea that the clubs were so poorly fitted that it would take one daughter six months to figure them out and unfortunately the other daughter was so messed emotionally up that she decided to QUIT THE GAME OF GOLF altogether. This came soon after that daughter had won her Division at the Starburst a very popular central Texas tournament and had been consistently scoring in the mid to high seventies.
The personnel there has changed so if you decide to do business with CC it is presumed that these fitters are trained - unlike the fitter who fit us. I requested a refund for one set of the poor fitted clubs but CC basically denied any commercial adjustment thus I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS with them and will recommend everyone I speak with to do the same.
Parents spend too much on golf to allow issues like this derail the future of their children's avocation - like happened to me.
