I called to inquire if my A/C fan motor outside would be replaced under warranty, due to the massive amount of rust all over the motor casing. A quality enamel was obviously never used. I could have been informed that it would not be replaced unless the motor failed for a price. However, a service call was deemed to be necessary and a service call was scheduled. The technician poked and prodded, removed doors and took readings for a system that was running perfectly already. Other than releasing a quantity of freon coolant, no other changes were made. This consumed 90 minutes, followed by 30 minutes of filling out paperwork, mostly consisting of suggested warranty choices at surprising prices for a system that originally costing $8725!!
