Director of Memory Care Was Phenomenal
My mother spent time in several different units at MorningStar Senior Living and really I would rate them differently depending on where she was. She was in the independent unit for a while, which I would rate about a four of five stars. Then she spent time in assisted living and that I would rate a three. She also spent a couple of weeks in their memory care unit and that I would rate a five+++. Kelly, the director of the unit, was absolutely phenomenal. The attention that she paid to the residents there and the staff is amazing. As far as the things I didn't like as much, I can't judge too harshly. My mother did not ask for help, she actually refused help, and since I wasn't there I didn't see a lot of what was going on. I do know that when I flew in I saw a couple things I didn't care for, but I discussed those issues with the director and they were responsive. It's a very nice facility and very well kept. We've been to other facilities and it's far and away better than any of the other places we looked at in the area.
