I contracted Scott Hale Plumbing to install a water line from the main supply line, through the trough between the ceiling joists that a gas line ran through to feed my fireplace, and terminate it on an exterior wall in my courtyard with a spigot.

The crew arrived on time and briefly discussed the scope of work and confirming some details with me before beginning work.

Kaleb and Eduardo got right after it and stayed busy, working hard the entire time. They encountered a couple of small problems, like discovering a fire break in the ceiling, that they had to work around, but made short work of the project and had it completed in just a few short hours.

The only complaint I have, and it’s a small one, is that in those areas where sheetrock needed to be cut, my job patching would have been made easier had they cut it on the studs instead of between the studs. Cutting between the studs leaves that sheetrock edge needing to be supported with new timber, or needing to be cut to the stud... which means that I can’t use the piece that came out as the patch.

It’s a small thing, but a nuance that the guy making the repairs would have appreciated.

All in all, great work, and I’m loving my new water supply in the courtyard!
