American Academy of Martial Arts

Encourages personal growth. You work hard and have fun.

I trained with Randy for about 5 years before taking a break to explore other schools. I recently returned to the American Academy of Martial Arts and have been training with Randy for the last 4 months.

The main reason I came back is because the value is very high. Randy brings out the best in his students.

He cares about people, about every person that walks through the door. He motivates and pushes you so that you get the best workout possible for your mind, body and spirit.

My training session usually lasts about an hour, including a 30-minute workout followed by punches and kicks for the other 30 minutes. Randy teaches you to take the training seriously but that it is okay to make mistakes and laugh at yourself.

He has a good sense of humor and jokes around with students, which helps you get over any shyness or insecurities you have. This helps build self-esteem so that you feel more comfortable and confident.

I missed a lot during the time I was not training with Randy. In my experiences with other schools, I found that they frowned on mistakes. All they cared about was the money and the contract that you were signing.

I would encourage people to try American Academy of Martial Arts. Go in with a positive attitude, have fun and take the training seriously. It is a journey and it takes a long time to perfect, but it is enjoyable.
