Had an amazing experience at my fitting with Brett. I got my first set of irons off the shelf 11 years ago as a high school graduation present. I always enjoyed golf but over the last 3 years it has become my main hobby and favorite sport. I know very little outside of some research about the technical aspect of clubs. At my fitting I knew immediately I had made the right decision to help step my game up. The first thing Brett did was take a look at my current irons and it was clear there was some glaring room for improvement. My irons were over were extremely long and the toe was really high. After doing taking some shots with my Gamers, Brett walked me through every aspect of data from ball speed to spin to smash factor, you name and there was a data point for it. On my Gamers I was hitting my 6 iron with a spin rate of over 6500. Now this is where I was really impressed. Before my fitting i would have said, that’s awesome, it will stick and stay. I didn’t understand how much and in what ways that would effect my game. First step, Brett grabbed the Callaway Apex pro as my iron head to text shafts with. Brett nailed my combo on the first try. The shaft and head combo felt amazing and I was hitting my 6 iron on average 200 vs the 185 with my Gamers. Still we tested out 5 other shafts and around 7-8 different heads. The cobra forged tec and mizuno mp hmp both felt great, but nothing quite lived up to the Apex pro’s. I had an amazing experience with Brett and can’t wait to get my irons in and take them out to the course!
