I had a problem with my furnace and it turned out to be a very unusual situation. I contacted My Guys Plumbing, Heating & Air because of the prior company that had performed maintenance on my furnace is no longer in business. The technician that came out was here for several hours trying to solve the problem.He left and came back, which took more time. He ended up replacing a part that I am not sure needed replacing, stating that it was a safety issue. I called the office while he was still here to let them know I was not going to pay for the technician's hours because of it taking so long to figure out what the problem really was. They did not charge me for all the time spent on the furnace but did charge me for the part and labor. I still don't know if the furnace actually needed this part replacement as I am sure that the prior company would not have left it in an unsafe condition. I do not know if I would hire them again, maybe I will but at this point I am undecided. The furnace is working but I still have my doubts as to what the problem really was and why it was a safety issue! I also have my doubts about the technician really understanding what he was doing with my furnace. It is an unusual furnace but I feel he had plenty of time to explain why the part had to be replaced and why it was a safety issue!
