I had warm air coming out of my central air conditioning unit on a newly purchased home. I called for an estimate. Nothing was ever taken apart. The Serviceman Jerry Johnson never even took off the plenum cover to view the A coil. He stated it was bad stuck a thermometer in a few vents and told me I was looking at 1588 this included tax. For that price I could've purchased a new unit. He was quoting R22 all through the estimate for 6 lbs of freon. I have a R410A unit which holds 4.4 lbs of freon. He was using R22 designated equipment to check the charging pressure of a R410A unit. This is a no-no, it's like mixing blood types. He saw a lady and thought he had a sucker. Not. He also tried to sell me and fancy $500-$600 filter and a chimney liner for $699 which was also not needed as he stated. I went along with his suggestions waiting to see this estimate. It took Mr Jerry Johnson days to email this said estimate. He came out on Thurs I did not receive this estimate until Sunday by email. If you need service, you want your estimate immediately. Not days later, I had to keep calling to even receive it. If you don't want to be deceived don't call these guys! This is a joke I'm sure they will not be refunding my 39.99 estimate fee after I pointed out all their errors.
