It was a good experience overall!
I was looking for something to make a statement with tropical aromatic blooms that would preferable be perennials. I hired Beautiful Blooms Landscaping for the job. I ended up with some annuals that didn't make it too well through the freeze, and ended up taking them up and putting in my own perennials. The Magnolias are gorgeous and I love them. I also love the midnight jasmine, basically all the ones on the side of the house. But I had to replace the red flowers (forgot their name) and snapdragons with my own perennials after losing more than 30 plants annuals to the freeze. It really did look beautiful when it was first planted and they did a great job coming in. If we were to start over I would discuss the price point right up front. It was quite high but they worked with me to make three payments. Now that I realize how high the price point was I would be more careful. But when a customer requests aromatic perennials, I would want them to go through similar choices of something that will smell lovely and bloom all year long, rather than just putting in annuals. I also learned that snapdragons aren't best choice for the front door area because they get big and lean over. After spending eighty nine hundred dollars on just the front and side gardens, and losing so many plants to the freeze, as a business I might have checked in on the damage and replaced some of the plants. Some more follow up would have been great. Someone from Beautiful Blooms came by but didn't offer a fix. After having the new plants for only one month, if they had just offered to replace one I would have been happier. I've learned a lot since then.
