Found on truck rental ad and reserved 4 guys to load and unloaders from my house to a storage unit 7 miles away. That went easy enough with a major credit card, until the day of service. After the first couple of calls that morning they cut me down to 3 guys owing to the list of items I had for them to load and unload I said ok just send them on, I have to turn the truck in and go to the car rental agency and switch out. I had a list for them of what they needed to move, They and their website stated they would have all moving equipment--hand trucks, etc to get the job done so i didn't rent them from the truck company. They charged my card 196.00, 110,00 and 585.00 over the course of week, for that one Tuesday afternoon.
Upon arrival at 1130a--not 11a--only TWO guys arrived at my house with ONE pair of hand trucks. They called in to the company and went about reviewing all that hand to be moved--here it is:
living room--1 15" side table and 4 boxes
hallway--12 plastic boxes and 12 storage bags
den--12 egg boxes of cook books and dishes/kitchen stuff, 6 small and large boxes, 12 storage bags/garbage bags, one 76" bookcase, two 36" bookcases
enclosed garage room--three 84" inch bookcases, two 76" bookcases, 30 egg boxes, 12 small and large boxes, 12 bundles of clothes, 12 storage bags, 1 queen bed frame only, 1 60" credenza for tv, 1 40" TV, 1 40" vanity, 2 side tables, 6 lamps, vacuum cleaner
outside garage door--1 36" round mesh outdoor table, 4 metal outdoor chairs, 2 metal outdoor ottomans

the one guy loading every thing with the one pair of hand trucks began needing a break by 3pm
at 430 pm and still not loaded--just had to leave a bunch of my stuff
He wanted cash to extend time
He put my tv in his car as "collateral" i guess
He wanted payment for driving an hour and 1/2 each way from Covington, Ga to get to my house
He wanted to know what was wrong with my hand trucks, i had an old pair with a flat tire that had barely worked to line all the boxes up for them in the den and garage prior to their arrival
they spent less than an hour to put all of it in the 10x15 storage facility 3/4 full and 4-5ft high--i had to just leave with the truck to go to the car rental agency at 5pm--they spent almost 5 hours loading it in a 16 ft truck 3/4 full at 4-5ft high and left the bed frame and pictures etc, broke several of the boxes full of books open turning them on their sides and then "weight lifting them"
i'm sure my kitchen stuff and dishes packed in the egg boxes too are just smashed even though i wrote kitchen on it--it's not all books
NEVER EVER HIRE THIS COMPANY IN ATHENS, GA
CALL SOMEONE LOCAL
I had to stop payment through the credit card company when they billed 110.00 ok then several days later 196.00, then a couple of days later 585.00 more, uhh no mother$$$$$$$ THESE PEOPLE ARE A COMPLETE SCAM
