To clarify context, I was working from home during installation, so perhaps this discouraged them from checking in with me more often. I was happy with the work that was done, but would have appreciated more communication along the way to give me input into decisions I wasn't thinking of when I typed my original requests online. As it turned out, all ended up very well, and in fact they installed a wall unit with more outlets than I had thought about having, which is really going to come in handy. And while I had intended for a dedicated outlet to _replace_ the one already in the wall, their creation of a 2nd one (and repairing the one I'd thought I was replacing) also it better in the long run. Bottom line is I'm completely satisfied and I'm happy that they made very wise decisions for aspects I hadn't thought of. There's some risk with less communication, but this time turned out great.
