Good Second Experience With A More Informative Technician

I had a mixed experience. I reached out to them when I was having a problem with my air conditioner. The air outside was cooler than the air inside my house, so I needed to have the repair work done quickly. The first technician they sent out was unable to fix the issue. He told me that there were ants inside of my air conditioner, but he didn't have the right equipment to get rid of the ants, so I had to schedule another appointment with them for a different day. The second technician who was out here was on-site until 11:30 at night. Although it was late in the day, he did get the problem solved. He brought bug spray to kill the ants, and he placed a gadget in the air conditioner to keep the ants out. He explained to me that the problem was fixed for now, but that I might experience it again in about six to nine months. This technician was much more informative, and he was better prepared than the first technician. I'm happy that the air conditioner is working, but I don't think I should have been charged for both appointments since the problem should have been resolved the first time.

Mrs. Thrasher, thank you for reaching out to us. I reviewed your account and invoices and wanted to clear up any confusion that may exist in billing. At our first visit we only collected for adding a lb of refrigerant and the cost of the purchased maintenance plan, we did not charge anything for replacing the contactor nor a diagnostic charge, it was all done at no cost as a courtesy. On our return visit we waived the diagnostic fee for returning and only charged to put in a new contactor with a shield. We also treated for ants as a courtesy to help prevent ants from getting inside again. We do warranty our work for a full year and would never double bill for the same repair if it was something that was a direct result of our labor or faulty parts.
