AC service
Brand new unit needed servicing after one year. Was told by technician it was a problem on the outside unit. One year later still having issues and told by technician it was misdiagnosed the previous year. There was a leak on the inside unit which requires the part to be completely replaced. I was told if I didn’t want to spend 700 for the labor, they could just put Freon in it. That would be a bandaid and I would be in the same boat down the road. I had no choice but to pay the money to fix it. My complaint is that since the second technician told me it was misdiagnosed a year prior, why did I have to absorb that cost? If it would have been fixed the first time, the warranty should have fully covered it. It’s so frustrating because I felt like Midway was a reputable, reliable company that would not gouge me. I felt like my initial purchase and install went very well but I lost hope after the most recent service call. There are so many AC companies out there that take advantage of us Florida customers that cannot live without our AC.
