Upfront I have to say maybe it's just my a/c unit, but I'm a NYC born and raised skeptic with cynicism mixed in. Okay, my system shut down 3 days before my semi-annual maintenance check. They got it running for only $2xx.xx. Not bad except I just paid them $1xxx.xx, one year prior to the day. Hmm. Now the tech told me before leaving that my system is old (9 yrs.)? and slowly on its way out. He did also say 'that 'they' will do their best to keep it running. I must add that I am a 6 months a year resident. Further, the wife and I are rather conservative with the use of our a/c to cool our residence. Now do you see why my. upbringing has a bit upset. One last thing. I'm of the opinion that I wasn't given my 10 percent discount price for being a seasonal contract customer. When I inquired the tech told me it was automatically calculated in the final price. Double hmm on that matter. While I'm at it the pricing was pretty steep. No parts were needed and the tech was at my residence for less than 1/2 hour. I guess I should have questioned that price at the time of servicing but must've been a senior moment.
