Mold, cockroaches, and gas leaks, oh my!

Let me start by saying I am not the type of person who goes on yelps and complains every time Starbucks doesn't make my latte with enough foam. I would like to believe I am a reasonable even tempered person. We have been living in an sos property for two years now and it has been a nightmare. The day we move in a saw a cockroach. I freaked out, but what could I do? We were already moving in. We quickly became infested with roaches. No amount of cleaning or big spray would solve the problem. It became so bad we could not store food or even eat in our own house. After calling and calling they finally send a extermination company that was approved to do two treatments. The two treatments made a big difference, but the roaches came back. We have called and emailed them countless times only to be ignored. Our heater did not work for months. We had to fight with them to get a discount on rent for the month and a half my children went without one of the. ASIC necessitys a landlord is required to provide. We had a major gas leak that was ignored until we got SDGE involved and they said they needed to open the walls and fix the pipes before anyone could live on the property. Keep in mind that gas leak added hundreds of dollars to our SDGE bill and SOS refused to reinburse us any of it. Finally, our bathroom is flooded. They have sent out several plumbers who could not figure out what was wrong. Last night our most recent plumber said he needed to open the wall and look at the pipe. He called management and got approval, and the pipe is compleatly busted. It is draining right into the ground. I'm sure you can imagine the mold and filth associated with that mess. I am beyond frustrated. We have two young daughters who are living in squalor. We try to be decent tenants. We pay our rent on time, we are quiet, we always try and be understanding and respectful of the property managers. Once we move I will never rent from SOS again, and I would tell anyone thinking about it to run the other direction. They are slum loards.
