I have been a satisfied customer for over 10-years and was pleased until I came to realize how overpriced you are and how you have now made me feel like you want to take advantage of customers like me. Your technicians were always pleasant and courteous and in fact, we even fed them while they were here. But last June during our pre-season check you told my wife you cleaned our condensers as part of the check and also gave her an estimate of $3300 to replace our ductwork. Now, two months later I had to replace a small sump pump the size of a Kleenex box and paid you $582. The second unit stopped cooling so you checked that out at the same time and told me there is a Freon leak, the compressor is going bad and the service plan would not cover the replacement. Your recommendation was to replace the entire system because it was too costly to troubleshoot a 10-year old unit. And I should replace both and get a better discount even though the second unit was still fine, which remember I just paid $582 for the pump. I could also spend $300 for 2lbs of Freon to get it cooling again but if I buy the new unit I would not get charged for this. So I did the smart thing and got a second opinion, why not, $24K + $3300 is a lot of money, right? I had a recommended service come in and in quickly diagnosed the coil had a leak (amazing, he opened the closet door and said he could smell it that easy!) and could easily be replaced at a mere fraction of the cost without replacing the entire system. We also found that the compressors had not been properly cleaned at least for the last two service checks and one of the problems I now faced was in part due to the units not being cleaned properly. When they removed the coil we even found the owner’s manual for the unit stuck to the side of the coil inside the unit (nice). So you wanted to sell me two new AC units for $24K when all I needed was a $1500 repair, you wanted to charge me $300 for 2lbs of Freon, I paid $150 for 4lbs and remember those ducts for $3300? I paid $1800. I have been a satisfied customer for over 10 years because I didn't know any better and trusted One Hour with my service and my money. Thank you but I will not be calling you again. I will also have to forgo the remainder of my service agreement with you that in June I paid $500+ to renew, unless you actually read this and have a conscience and want to do the right thing, because you have lost my trust and I will not have you back at my home. I will not hesitate to share my experience with anyone, and I would also be more than happy to share the contact information of a more reputable AC service to you if you ever need work done on your own AC units.
