Prompt efficient service call. Fixed the problem...BUT
The problem was within the unit. White algae had formed preventing draining and safety float cut off unit. This is understandable HOWEVER, I AS A PERSON WHO IS MAINTENANCE CONSCIOUS NEVER SAW THE PROBLEM COMING. HOW IN THE WORLD WOULD THE CUSTOMER BE ABLE TO CHECK THE UNIT TO PREVENT AN UNTIMELY SHUT-DOWN OF A/C OR HAVE TO RESULT IN A SERVICE CALL. THERE IS NO WAY FOR ME TO LOOK AND SEE WHAT IS GOING ON. UNIT IS BRAND NEW, AND INSTALLED IN MARCH 2017. WHY DID THE INSTALLER "NOT" PUT IN THE TABLETS, SPONGES OR WHATEVER, IN THE FIRST PLACE TO REDUCE THIS BUILD-UP??? WE PAID GOOD MONEY FOR THIS NEW UNIT, AND I TRULY EXPECTED MORE FROM ONE-HOUR A/C AND HEATING. MY WIFE IS NOT HAPPY!!!!! AND I AM REALLY DISAPPOINTED. WE DO NOT THINK THAT THIS SHOULD HAVE HAPPENED IN A SIX-MONTH TIME SPAN.
