Had my basement carpet cleaned and to be fair it is light colored and there were a couple of stains, some small black flecks and general soil at the entrance to the work room and furnace room. After the cleaning the black flecks remained as well as the stains and the entrances seemed like they could be better. I got down and scrubbed with carpet stain remover and I was able to remove the black flecks and improve the entrances. The stains remain and perhaps they aren't removable but I was disappointed that I was able to make improvement after the cleaning. I guess I expected that a professional cleaning would be superior to anything I could do. The technician was polite and efficient but young and perhaps less experienced and perhaps my job was actually more difficult that I realized. There were also some nail holes in the carpet from where there had once been a wall built over top (that we have removed) I did appreciate that the technician got back to me after he left with a contact for someone who might be able to assist with a repair for that.
