Not Pleased
I certainly appreciate VP fitting us in today. The gentleman that was in our home was most courteous. He performed a rather cursory assessment of our Frigidaire refrigerator/freezer and told us what I had assumed through my internet research this past weekend-the evaporator fan was icing up. His resolutions, per his experience, were to (1) turn off refrigerator each time noise occurred and let fan unit thaw, or (2) buy a Whirlpool, preferably from VP. (He then went to VP Website to show comparable units.)
Subsequent to his service call I have determined there are solutions to the icing issue other than Frigidaire’s reputation for unreliable appliances.
I applaud him for his attempts to sell us a new unit, along with other appliance warranty products and HVAC annual programs offered by VP, but not for attempting to repair our current problem.
In general, I believe Village Plumbing sat down on the job.
