Miller's Heating & Air

Timely appointment visit was achieved per promised range of visit hours promised. Problem with heating and cooling system apparently solved. The service technician was friendly and professionally attended to business.

James the heating and cooling service person for Millers Heating & Air arrived as promised within the agreed to range of hours. The stated problem was complete non-functionality of both the AC and furnace. After a period of diagnosis it was determined a fuse had blown inside the furnace and the difficult to reach fuse box inside the unit needed to be accessed. I agreed with the service technician that access to the blown fuse would be difficult due to placement and would require some disassembly to reach. There was agreement that the original installers did not allow for easier access to the part. With these hurdles to overcome, James successfully reached and replaced the blown fuse. A good attention to detail was noticed when James unhooked the 110v AC and proceeded to diagnose the system. It was quickly determined that wires and connectors inside the AC unit were incorrectly re-connected after a service technician for a different company had inspected the unit in Fall, 2016. This resulted in a short in the system as determined by the Miller Heating technician. Our furnace worked normally all heating season, but when I attempted to switch systems at the thermostat to test the function of the AC for cooling season, the AC would not work. Later I tried to use the furnace and it would no longer start. James indicated the short in the system caused the fuse to blow within the furnace, hence the sudden failure of the entire system. I am pleased that James quickly diagnosed and solved this problem with our heating and particularly the AC with very hot weather approaching.
