Appliance World is one of the most reputable companies in our town, and we've used them before. In the past, all of our experiences were good. Recently, however, we had quite the experience with them. The new oven we purchased had a very serious malfunction: the knobs would heat up beyond the point where it was safe to touch them without risking a burn. We contacted Appliance World and after showing them the knobs' temperatures with a laser thermometer, they agreed to an exchange.

Unfortunately, when the appliance was removed, we encountered a very unpleasant technician. Appliance World had sent him out to also take a look at our oven's connections. It turns out we didn't need any work done, so we wanted to make sure we wouldn't be charged. Instead of agreeing to tell the company right away, he tried to leverage a positive review of his performance from the situation. He told us he would not tell the company to waive our service fees unless we praised the job he did. Horrified, we contacted Appliance World. When they eventually returned to install a new oven, they thankfully did not send him again.

After the first fiasco, everything actually worked out. This time around, the workers they sent were fairly polite and the oven situation was finally resolved by switching brands. They also invited us to the store for a cooking class using the new stove, which was great. Overall, I still recommend Appliance World and will continue to use them. Despite the beginning being so horrible, they resolved the issue.
