There is a big flaw in the process for selecting kids in the blue book category and gold book category similar to "Gifted and Talented". It is arbitrary, subjective and non-transparent leading to a lot of dissatisfaction and heartburn among the parents whose kids do not get gold book. Our kid who was not given the gold book outperformed the gold book kids in the TerraNova test. Our suggestion is that the school should have a transparent and structured diagnosis process to select the kids. The diagnosis and results should be shared with the kids' parents. Everywhere whether it is public school or after school program have a transparent diagnosis process to place the kids in the appropriate level so we are not sure why there is no such process in Apple Montessori, which will remove the current feelings of arbitrary and partial selection of kids.
The director, teachers and staff are very good caring and friendly but due to the lack of the above process reduces the goodwill at the end.
