The price was right but the experience resulted in slightly scuffed up walls
Alpine’s price fo clean our carpets was very reasonable, and the technician was friendly, efficient, and accommodating (he cleaned an additional rug for us on short notice that I hadn’t mentioned when I made the appointment, etc.).
The one disappointing part of the experience was that the technician failed to use any wall protectors, and since we live in a townhome with two sets of stairs and tight corners, a few spots became scuffed up due to the large cleaning hose that wrapped around as the technician worked his way upstairs. When I pointed this out to him, he apologized but did not offer to make amends, such as reduce the price. After the technician left, I spoke to a service manager to suggest that their technicians notify customers before beginning to work that there’s always a chance that minor damage to walls can occur. She was friendly, receptive, and apologetic, and even offered to have someone come out to look at the damage (I declined, as the damage wasn’t that severe and I knew I could just touch up the paint easily enough). She also explained that their technicians are already equipped with foam wall protectors and supposed to use them when necessary, so I’m not sure why the technician didn’t think to do so in this case.
