they misdiagnosed my brakes

Technician advised that the front rotors were warped and needed replaced for $860. I took the SUV to the dealer and a determination was made that the front brakes were fine. The humming was not from the rotors, rather the tires were not in balance and there were no tire weights. The dealer fixed the problem at no charge.

We thoroughly inspected your vehicle and while test driving it we detected a slight vibration or hum that could indicate a need for front brake replacement in the future. We did not mean to suggest that there was an immediate need for brake replacement, only that we had noticed a performance issue that can be a sign of a future need to replace the front brakes.
