I've been here at Duncaster now for 5 months and it has been ideal for me. In the first place, it is extremely friendly. When I walk down the halls which are very wide--incidentally, there is nothing institutional about the architecture--whether it is the help in transit, or neighbors or residents, everyone seems to have a smile. I spend an inordinate amount of time in the library reading the New York Times, the Herald and the Hartford Courant--and you sit there reading and others joint you.

I am also interested in healthy living and they have an Olympic-sized pool; I'm there at 7 am when I can get there. They are well-versed in wellness and have programs like yoga, which I love, then they have sitting and stretching. As far as the food, we are assigned a certain amount of money per month. When I go to the dining room for lunch or dinner there are always three entree choices, and you are in control of what you are eating. Duncaster prides themselves with their chef.

And, to expand your mind, they have all sorts of world events and lectures on current events, films and books. It's all here, and I seriously do think everything worked so well in my coming here--and I'm lucky for the apartment I landed.
