I recently brought my truck into you because it was misfiring. Similar to what it was doing a couple years ago when I brought it in and a full tune-up was done then as well as a catalytic converter replacement and some other work.
This time I was told that test was revealing that it was going to need a full engine replacement and that it wasn't just a simple replacement of spark plugs or wires.
I definitely agree with the other diagnosis of a cracked radiator and exhaust pipe needing to be replaced.
My wife and I decided to take it to another shop for a second opinion and they shared with all they could find was that it needed a new spark plug on the one cylinder and they also noted that didn't appear that the spark plug wires had been changed out anytime in recent years. This was supposedly done at your shop when I had brought it in for the tune-up.
So far the truck has been running just fine with a new radiator and spark plug and wire change which we had done at the other shop.
All this makes me question the work that was done a couple years ago and what the motivation was for encouraging an engine replacement this visit.
Unfortunately I don't feel like I can trust your shop to do work on any of my vehicles from now on.
