Before I shelled out the big bucks for ANOTHER set of clubs, I wanted to know everything about what I was using and how different what I needed would be, if anything. The closest site was 300+ miles away but I was desperate. Good thing I went! While there I appreciated that I was never pressured to use a particular shaft or club brand. I even id'd and tried all the big-name models I was favoring. All were available for me choose from. If on my own, I would have chosen a senior shaft (I am 67, after all) and the irons wouldn't be right for my swing and shot pattern. The numbers don't lie and the fitter's experience further helped to zero-in on the right combinations for me. BIG differences between brands and shafts, even with my current sticks. Although I initially dreaded the cost of the whole experience (travel, fitting and sticks), I'm positive I made the right choice. I have complete confidence in the fitter's evaluation of the stats. And it does come with a guarantee. Although the proof will out in the next few weeks, I'm looking forward to hitting the type of shots that can lower my index. For me, it's an early Christmas present for I don't-know-how many more seasons I have left in me. Maybe pro-golf results for an amateur, relatively speaking, of course. I have already shelled out more for clubs that don't work for me to do this fitting and hopefully this can stop the bleeding.
