After three repair visits I still have a broken dryer - it has the same issue from the original service call. It is now three weeks since first using Appliance Pro Repair and working with Rishat who is the owner and sole repairman. All I can say is this experience has been THE WORST! I am out $185 dollars at this point.
Things you should know:
- The 100% Satisfaction or "No Cost" will not be honored. (I've requested the parts that were installed to be removed and the old ones returned (as promised on his invoices and website) and to please refund the fees associated. I was happy to pay the $30 consultation fee - here is the reply in email "...100% Satisfaction does not apply..."
- Rescheduling Took Forever (Once the unit stopped working again 20 min after he left, I called him to let him know so that he would return right away. Not the case. On average I waited a week or more to be rescheduled)
- Pricing of Parts (The first main control board part we agreed to price ($155) before he came, the next fix he tells me he needs to add coils and that they will cost me $185 just for that. I said I needed to verify the price online first and he quickly updates his price and says "I'll charge $82" - which now that I research was way higher than it should have been.)
- Training (When I noticed him taking apart my dryer, I asked if he knew the brand. He told me he learned how to fix appliances on his own, no formal training. Not a problem normally but when I called Frigidaire about my appliance and what Rishat was doing they suggested I tell him what to look at since nothing he was doing was fixing the issue.)
- Yelp Discount ($20 coupon was something he did not want to honor when I brought it up upon payment. He finally did once I told him this was one of the reasons I went with him. However, then I get told I'm being charged an additional $30 for moving the dryer door left to right - something I could have done easily on my own but thought it was part of what he was going to do within our agreed upon quoted price.)
- Late to every appointment. (For one appointment he was 2 hours late. Most he was 1/2 hour late. When you have 2-3 hour windows, this is extremely inconvenient)
BUYER BEWARE. I am currently in the process of taking legal action to get refunded the cost of repairs/parts that left me with a dryer issue I originally called about. He was willing to come back and charge more for repairs and additional parts but having spent the cost of a new dryer with him - I decided no more. Please believe me when I say that this review is written for you to avoid your own issues.
True Rishat is a nice guy when you meet him, reviews are correct, however when it comes to repairs it is the customer service, the 100% guarantee and the trust you need to have when going with someone. THIS is the huge letdown with Appliance Pro Repair and Rishat and that has left me $185 poorer. In my email and phone calls with him to resolve, that is what becomes clear.
