Craig Van Lines

I wound up having to move everything myself!

I recently hired Craig Van Lines to handle a long-distance move for me. I was going from Virginia to South Carolina. I packed up all of my belongings myself when my home had sold. The movers loaded up the truck. The team consisted of one woman and two men. They did a great job! When I got to South Carolina and they delivered my furnishings there was only one mover. The rest of the team did not show up. I had no choice but to help the one male mover move everything into my new home. The mover did say to me that the rest of the team would show up late. Instead, they did not show up at all! I got stuck moving everything in myself with the one guy helping. There was no reason given really. In the end, there was a very large piece of furniture left. It was a rather large desk, heavy and awkward. Finally, two big dudes showed up and helped us bring the desk inside. We never could have done that with just the two of us. It is a good thing that I am physically fit. What if I had been someone who was not and had physical limitations or disabilities? The one worker had to get going to another job in Charleston. He felt bad and called the company to have the company take off one hundred dollars from my bill. I did not feel that was enough at all. So they gave me the hundred off and I accepted it only because the mover had to leave for the other job. I wound up having to physically move everything myself. It was not a good experience for me at all! If this is an on-going issue for Craig Van Lines then they need to hire staff that actually shows up.
