My experience with Aamco Transmissions of Reno was outstanding. I started having trouble with my car when I was on a trip, 800 miles from my home in Vancouver, WA. I initially called the Toyota dealer and they gave me the runaround, so I called Aamco and they told me to bring the car in first thing in the morning.

The service light had come on, so the staff at Aamco looked at my car and said it could be one of 2 things. They took care of the minor possibility first, which was the air filter, cleaning it out. The car ran fine for 20 miles but then the service light came on again, so I headed back to Aamco. This time, they had to replace the oxygenator (the one in the back by the gas tank). Toyota did not have the part that they said they had, so Aamco had to find the part for me. They went to great lengths to make sure the part they got was good and they installed it themselves.

Aamco did not even charge me for the first job that they did, cleaning the air filter, which I appreciated. The second, bigger job was a lot less than I expected by several hundred dollars. There was no price gouging at all.

I have not had a problem with the car at all since they worked on it and I have traveled over 1,700 miles since the repair. I cannot say enough good about their service, treatment, and repair.

I have never been treated like I was treated in those couple of days at Aamco of Reno. My wife is handicapped and they seated us in a comfortable room there. It did not delay our trip at all. When I get down to Reno again, I will definitely stop in and see them. I highly recommend them.
