Thorough with awful customer service & communication
We had our 23 vent system cleaned last Friday starting at 8:30 am. The job should have been completed by 3:30 but the tech didn't leave until 8:00 pm. Our home was not exceptionally dirty or complicated, but the equipment broke half way through the job around 1:00. Accidents happen, no big deal. They sent another tech with working equipment and a manager out to help finish the job, or so I thought. The manager, Jason said, "I don't get paid by the hour, so I'm going to go." The other tech left as well leaving our poor tech working a 14 hour day. That's poor leadership! That same manager also told me it would only be another hour or two to complete the job around 3:00 pm. I had a date with my husband and was paying a babysitter $80 from 5:30-9:30. Needless to say, I missed out on a date with my husband, was out the money owed to a babsitter so I could babysit the tech in my home on a Friday night and the general manager offered an "olive branch" as he called it of a $35 off my total bill as a "contractors discount" and that was the best he could do. While our tech did a thorough job, I'm left extremely disappointed in the poor leadership, awful communication, and pathetic compensation for the loss of my time. I expect better customer service when I spend $565 on a job. (That was the price after my discount). Disappointed in DUCTWORKS!
