on Jan. 17 early in the afternoon I noticed that my boiler was not working. I was not worried because I was used to Kosco's emergency service. I called ParacoKosco first to clear up a billing question I had & then asked the customer service person to transfer me to emergency service. She said she would notify them. By an hour or so later no one had called me back. I then tried a few more times and only could get an answering service. In desperation I tried again & got someone from the service dept. He said they would send someone but couldn't tell me when. I shut the power & water off to the boiler. Later I noticed a lot of water had come out of the air vents. I went through the whole night watching room temperatures & placing electric heaters in several needed places. my plan was to drain my heating pipes if it got close to freezing. By early morning it was close & was considering using 2 propane heaters in my coldest area, but I was too tired and thought it too risky so I went to sleep. A few hours later I finally got an oil delivery. My boiler had stopped because there was no oil. I was on automatic delivery.
